The majority of Jewish people in the world do NOT believe that Jesus Christ was the promised Messiah (or the Son of God). That can also be said for the majority of Gentile (non-Jewish) people also. That is why it is important and biblically correct to make it clear that the Jewish people were very adamant about their REJECTION of Jesus the Messiah, to the point that they consented to his very death! This is NOT my own opinion, BUT it is what the Bible teaches, and it is backed up by the Holy scriptures themselves. All this modern-day talk which FALSELY declares that the Jews did NOT put Jesus Christ to death is completely ABSURD, because anybody can go to the Bible and read it for themselves! The DEATH of Jesus Christ at the hands of the religious Jewish people was PROPHESIED by Jesus Christ himself! Was Jesus Christ a LIAR? The DEATH of Jesus Christ at the hands of the religious Jewish people was understood by the Jewish apostle Peter, and he told the Jewish people that they were responsible! Was the Jewish apostle Peter a LIAR? This is what the Bible tells us! Is the Bible true or false?
There is absolutely no question about it, the Bible gives overwhelming proof that the Jewish people were responsible for the DEATH of Jesus Christ. Not only that, BUT the scriptures also make it clear that the prophets of old had foretold of that very thing. So, if you are one of those people who insist that the Jewish people did NOT put Jesus Christ to death, then you have swallowed the lie of the FALSE preachers of our time who have twisted the scriptures to their own destruction. If you do not believe that the Jewish people, put Jesus Christ to death, then your beliefs are in complete OPPOSITION to the Word of God, including the prophets and Jesus Christ himself!
Biblical Proof Christ Was Killed By His Own Jewish People
Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the CHIEF PRIESTS, and unto the scribes; and THEY SHALL CONDEMN HIM TO DEATH and shall deliver him to the Gentiles: (Mark 10:33)
From that time forth began JESUS to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto JERUSALEM, and suffer many things of the elders and CHIEF PRIESTS and scribes, AND BE KILLED, and be raised again the third day. (Matthew 16:21)
And JESUS going up to JERUSALEM took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to JERUSALEM; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the CHIEF PRIESTS and unto the scribes, and they shall CONDEMN HIM TO DEATH, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to CRUCIFY HIM: and the third day he shall rise again. (Matthew 20:17-19)
Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to JERUSALEM, and all things that are written by the PROPHETS concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be MOCKED, and spitefully entreated, and SPITTED ON: And they shall scourge him, and PUT HIM TO DEATH: and the third day he shall rise again. (Luke 18:31-33)
Jesus the Christ (Messiah) knew full well that the religious Jews would put him to death. Do not ever forget that Christ is the eternal Son of God who was sent from above, and he is the one who led Israel the whole time during the Old Covenant times. Many people do not realize that Jesus Christ did not begin his existence in the manger, BUT he is the eternal Son of God equal with the Father! The Lord Jesus Christ even told a parable concerning the people of Israel who slew their very own prophets, and he prophesied that they would KILL him too. (Matthew 21:33-46) Folks, we are talking about very serious things here. Millions of Christians have been walking hand in hand with the UNSAVED Jewish people who are clearly of an anti-Christ spirit according to the Word of God! (1 John 2:18, 2:22, 4:3, 2 John 1:7) For nearly 2000 years the Jewish people have been rejecting Jesus as their Messiah, Lord and Saviour and there is absolutely NO hope for them outside of faith in Jesus Christ! They REMAIN dead in their own sins according to JESUS himself! (John 8:24) JESUS also told them that the DEVIL was their Father. (John 8:44) JESUS also told them, that they read their scriptures which testified about HIM, but they would not come to HIM for eternal life. (John 5:37-40)
Peter Told His Own Jewish People They Killed Jesus
The Jewish apostle Peter, who was one of the original apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ spoke out boldly to the religious Jewish leaders of his time and told them flat out, that they killed Jesus Christ. Do not be FOOLED by the modern-day preachers who soft-soap the Gospel and make political connections to keep their lucrative business going. There is a bogus message being preached throughout the land concerning Israel, but the Word of God still stands true today. Follow the Lord first before you follow your “Pastor” who will lead you the wrong way. Remember that YOU will stand before GOD one day and not your Pastor! Search the scriptures for yourself, and do not be caught following FALSE preachers. Here are the words of The Jewish apostle Peter concerning Israel and that they put Jesus Christ to death.
Ye men of ISRAEL, hear these words; JESUS OF NAZARETH, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have TAKEN, and by WICKED HANDS have CRUCIFIED AND SLAIN: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. (Acts 2:22-24)
Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch DAVID, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up CHRIST to sit on his throne; He seeing this before spake of the RESURRECTION of CHRIST, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. This JESUS hath GOD raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Until I make thy foes thy footstool. Therefore let all the house of ISRAEL know assuredly, that God hath made that same JESUS, whom ye have CRUCIFIED, both LORD and CHRIST. (Acts 2:29-36)
And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of ISRAEL, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? The God of ABRAHAM and of ISAAC, and of JACOB, the GOD of our fathers, hath glorified his Son JESUS; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; And KILLED the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. (Acts 3:11-16)
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of ISRAEL, that by the name of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth, WHOM YE CRUCIFIED, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:10-12)
Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned. And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up JESUS, whom YE SLEW and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. (Acts 5:26-32)
Isaiah Prophesied the Death of Christ 700 years Earlier
Although the prophet Isaiah does not specifically mention the Jewish people, it is very clear that Christ was slain for a reason. The prophet Isaiah knew that the death of Messiah would be for the benefit of people like you and me. It is the BLOOD that was shed by the Lamb of God that can atone for our sins. (Romans 5:6-9) It does not matter whether a person is Jewish or Gentile. The bottom line is that all people must repent. The Jewish people are not any different than the rest of us when it comes to this whole matter of salvation. Here are the words of the prophet Isaiah, describing the death of Jesus Christ, and these words were written almost 700 years before the death of Christ at the hand of the religious Jewish people! The unbelieving Jewish Rabbis of this day continue to reject this 53rd chapter of Isaiah, as pertaining to Jesus to their own peril and eternal destruction!
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a LAMB to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. (Isaiah 53:3-7)
Peter Still Offered MERCY To The Jewish People
And now, brethren, I wot (know) that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers. But those things, which GOD before had shewed by the mouth of all his PROPHETS, that CHRIST should suffer, he hath so FULFILLED. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the LORD; And he shall send JESUS CHRIST, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which GOD hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy PROPHETS since the world began. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A PROPHET shall the LORD your GOD raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will NOT hear that PROPHET, shall be DESTROYED from among the people. Yea, and all the PROPHETS from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. Ye are the children of the PROPHETS, and of the COVENANT which GOD made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first GOD, having raised up his Son JESUS, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. (Acts 3:17-26)
Peter let the people of Israel know in no uncertain terms that those who did NOT hear the prophet (Jesus Christ-The Son of God) would be destroyed! Peter was talking about a person ending up in Hell because they refused to receive Jesus Christ! The prophets have spoken concerning the DEATH of Jesus Christ and that has been FULFILLED to the very letter. So, we have seen here today that the Bible has given us overwhelming SCRIPTURAL PROOF that Jesus Christ died at the hands of the Jewish people. To reject that claim is to make Jesus Christ, Peter, and the prophets out to be liars! What will YOU do with Jesus Christ? Will YOU continue to reject Jesus as Lord and Saviour? Will YOU accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour? Where will YOU spend eternity? Heaven or Hell?
